OUR PROJECTS

VIBRANCE

In early 2026, Guildhall Production Studio presented VIBRANCE, an ambitious festival of light, sound and live performance that transformed the City of London after dark. Over two evenings, the free event illuminated historic landmarks across Culture Mile, inviting audiences of all ages to experience the Square Mile as a new cultural destination.

Spanning more than a dozen artworks across five iconic locations – Guildhall Yard, St Alphage London Wall & Garden, Salters’ Garden, St Giles’ Cripplegate and Milton Court – the festival blended ancient architecture with contemporary creativity. From an opera-inspired performance at Guildhall Yard to soundscapes in St Alphage’s Garden and the interactive extended reality experiences at St Giles’ Cripplegate, VIBRANCE created a dynamic journey through light and sound.

Delivered through cross-disciplinary collaboration, the festival brought together Guildhall artists, performers, designers and technicians, placing emerging talent alongside experienced production professionals in a large-scale public project.

Supported by the Culture Mile Business Improvement District, Destination City Partnership Fund and the City of London Corporation’s Culture Team.

The Lady Mayor’s Show

In late 2025, Guildhall Production Studio collaborated with Guildhall Young Artists and Electronic & Produced Music, with sponsorship from Dominus, to deliver a bold large-scale performance for the Lady Mayor’s Show parade. Bringing together 50 young performers and 30 Electronic & Produced Music students – including four student conductors – the project placed Guildhall students at the heart of one of London’s most high-profile civic events. The 2025 parade marked a historic moment: for the first time in its more than 800-year history, the Lord Mayor’s Show became the Lady Mayor’s Show. Dame Susan Langley DBE, the third woman in 697 Lord Mayors, was the first to take the Lady Mayor title.
The result was a high-energy, visually striking moving performance that introduced a fresh and innovative sound to the parade via a re-imagined Drum n Bass marching band. Built around GPS’s iconic OrchestRAVE set, the concept combined live musicians, electronic elements and a fully branded DJ truck to create an immersive spectacle that stood out along the route.

Waltham Forest Light Show Spectacular

A stunning, sustainable twist to the classic Bonfire Night celebration. Guildhall Production Studio partnered with the London Borough of Waltham Forest to imagine and create a 28-minute projection display, showcasing the vibrant essence of the borough.
Six shows were spread over three evenings and set against the expansive canvas of Waltham Forest’s iconic Town Hall at Fellowship Square. Spectators were transported as the local William Morris patterns danced to life, the Wetlands shimmered, and the rich tapestry of community spirit unfolded through heartfelt interviews. Enhanced by lasers, flames, and an original soundscape via the Dolby Atmos surround-sound system, this event delighted the estimated 17,000 local people who came to see it.

Derry Halloween

Guildhall Production Studio was commissioned to deliver two series of outdoor installations (City of Bones & Forest of Shadows) for Europe’s largest – and spookiest – Halloween Festival, in 2022. Taking place over three nights in the historic, walled city of Derry, and set against the atmospheric backdrop of St. Columb’s Park and House, this breathtaking event, featuring a combination of video, lighting & sound activations, with elements of live performance from actors and fire performers unfolded across 14+ key locations spanning the whole city. 100,000 people visited to celebrate the traditional Gaelic festival of Samhain; weaving tales of folklore and heritage for all the family to enjoy.
The team returned in 2024 delivering projections onto the iconic façade of Austins department store and Law Courts. And in 2025, an additional ‘Zombie disco in the Diamond’ enabled the public to immerse themselves into a dazzling party of colour and rhythm! Whether gazing from the banks of the River Foyle or partaking in a disco at the Diamond, spectators were transported into a world of enchantment.

Proudly commissioned by Derry City and Strabane District Council.

A Day of Kites and Lights – Windrush

Marking the close of celebratory events on Windrush Day, Guildhall Production Studio worked closely with Haringey Archive and Museum Service to project a series of images onto the historic building of Bruce castle in Tottenham.
Using photographs and paintings from Haringey Archive and Museum Service alongside new artworks by photographer Agenda Brown of Visual Marvelry and artist Nicola Green, this beautiful and evocative collection of images celebrated and honoured Haringey’s Windrush Generation and their descendants, giving a sense of place in the continuum of communities settling in Haringey, and ensuring their personal stories are not forgotten.

Guildhall Yard – Blood Rite

Blood Rite, a digitally animated dance show, was created in partnership with the award-winning Boy Blue Entertainment as part of Londinium, a three-month series of events organised by the City of London Corporation celebrating London’s ties to ancient Rome.
Juxtaposed against the site of London’s Roman Amphitheatre, the performance fused live dance, cutting edge hip-hop music and projection to create an explosive exploration of the city’s Roman heritage. Audiences experienced provocative scenes that evoked both the horror and heroism of ancient gladiator fights.

Waddesdon Christmas Carnival

Guildhall Production Studio were invited to return to Waddesdon, drawing on the Manor’s rich collection to create three bespoke installations for their Christmas Carnival. Inspired by the Manor’s 17th century manuscript, Ballet Royale de la Nuit, the team used video projection mapping to transform the façade of the 19th century stables into a visual story interwoven with characters from the ballet.
The projection was accompanied by an original score composed by Guildhall School’s Electronic & Produced Music Department. A bespoke audio trail was created for the Manor’s Woodland Playground featuring 13 character silhouettes inspired by the Manor’s collection, each with their own sounds to bring them to life. The team also produced a custom-built light tunnel. Individually mapped LED lights danced around the audience in playful patterns whilst a bespoke soundscape took visitors on a dynamic sonic journey, evolving as they moved through the tunnel.

Waddesdon Imaginarium

Waddesdon Manor, (a country house located near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire which is managed by the Rothschild Foundation on behalf of the National Trust) commissioned Guildhall Production Studio to bring the Manor to life using the latest in video projection mapping technologies as part of their festive Imaginarium programme.
The façade of the manor became a blank canvas onto which the Guildhall team projected a bespoke ten-minute performance. In order to create these unique projections, the team worked in partnership with Waddesdon’s curators to 3D scan 50 objects housed in the Manor. These were then transformed into detailed animations, bringing the collection to life. The team were also commissioned to produce original music to accompany the projection, creating a completely bespoke storytelling experience for visitors.

Blackpool – Lightpool Festival – Light Odyssey

The launch of Blackpool’s Lightpool Festival, Light Odyssey, saw the Empress Ballroom brought to life with projections created by Guildhall Production Studio alongside the work of other world-class animators. The bespoke animations were crafted to accompany iconic pieces of classical music, performed live by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.
The team produced animations to complement music by Copland, heralded as ‘the Dean of American Composers’. The projections balanced moments of delicacy with dramatic qualities to reflect the musical twists and turns of the composition. In addition, the team created projections that were shown alongside music from Britten’s opera, Peter Grimes. The work brought together themes from the opera such as loneliness, beauty within nature and a desire to find belonging.
